Harvest Home in Avenel is one of those historic regional venues that perfectly balances boutique elegance with a relaxed, kick-your-shoes-off party atmosphere. For Hayley and Adam, the venue transformed into a gorgeous garden ceremony before kicking off an epic courtyard cocktail party, completely decked out with striking red drapes and lush red florals.
Historic Charm & Easy Portraits
When a venue has manicured gardens and stunning brickwork right there, you don't need to disappear for two hours to get great photos. We shot a mix of locations right on-site and just a short stroll away. Keeping the portrait session close meant Hayley and Adam spent less time traveling and way more time actually enjoying their cocktail hour with their favorite people.
The Unfiltered Moments
For me, this gallery is completely defined by the hilarious, unposed personalities that came out throughout the day. During the ceremony, I was shooting from behind the couple to capture the guests' reactions, and caught a brilliant series of Hayley’s dad staring so lovingly... straight at Adam. Not to be outdone, their nephew spent the ceremony staring straight down my camera lens with absolute doe eyes. He knew exactly what he was doing.
But the energy really peaked after dark. We snuck out for a few late-night portraits, and the two of them just turned around, threw on their sunnies, and served up absolute full-blown sass. Perfection.
That exact energy carried straight back onto the dance floor. By the end of the night, Adam was working a pink feather boa around his neck, Hayley was belting out tunes into a light wand, and both of them were still rocking the sunglasses.
Honestly? Incredible!

From the vibrant florals and historic garden setting to the late-night portraits and absolute dance-floor chaos, Hayley and Adam's wedding was a reminder of how good it is when couples make their day their own.
Less worrying about doing things the traditional way, more celebrating with your favourite people, having a ridiculous amount of fun and creating a day that feels unmistakably you.
